iPhone Xs Unboxing and Review

iPhone Xs:

Introduction:

The iPhone Xs comes in three colors: Gold, Space Grey and Silver. It’s the upgrade of iPhone X, which apple launched in November 2017.

Apple has got iPhone Xs Max as well, which is basically the bigger version of iPhone Xs.

What’s in box:

  • iPhone with iOS 12
  • Ear-Pods with Lightning Connector
  • Lightning to USB Cable
  • USB Power Adapter
  • Documentation

Physical Details:

The iPhone Xs comes in three memory sizes, 64GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. It has got height of 5.66 inches(143.6 mm), width of 2.79 inches(70.9 mm) and depth of 0.30 inches(7.7 mm). It weighs 177 grams(6.24 ounces). It’s pretty handy phone and doesn’t feet big in your hand or a burden in your pocket.

It has got 5.8-inch Super Retina HD display with OLED screen, which is measured across the diagonal.

Cost:

The lowest cost of this iPhone is A$1,629 for 64GB and A$2,199 for 512GB, which is pretty expensive for a phone. I would go for 256GB, which I think has got decent memory size for your everyday life and costsA$1,879.

Technical Details:

It has got the A12 Bionic chip which is the smartest, most powerful chip ever in a smartphone. It is up to 15% faster and uses 50% lower power than A11 Bionic chip, which is used in the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X versions.

Camera:

It has got 12-megapixel dual camera. One with wide-angle and the other is telephoto camera. The wide-angle camera has an aperture of ƒ/1.8 and the telephoto has got aperture of ƒ/2.4. The portrait mode has got advanced bokeh and depth control. The portrait lighting has got five effects: natural, studio, contour, stage and stage mono. It has also got 2 times optical zoom and a digital zoom of up to 10 times.

We can shoot 4K video up to 60 fps, which is amazing.

It has got true depth front camera of 7-megapixel and an aperture of f/2.2. Portrait mode is also available in front camera. Animoji and memoji can also be created using front camera which is an interesting feature.

Face ID:

The face ID is enabled by the True Depth camera at the front for facial recognition. It’s pretty instant and I feel very comfortable with it. It’s something I always wanted in my phone. It helps me unlock my phone quickly without typing my password or scanning my fingerprint, and also not compromising my security. I like facial recognition especially when I just wake up from my bed and just need to use my phone.

Buttons position:External Buttons and Connectors

It has got volume up-down button at the left and ring-silent button just on the side of volume buttons. At front, isBuilt-in stereo speaker and Built-in microphone. The side button is on the side which is used to lock/activate the phone or activate Siri by long pressing it. It’s also used to confirm downloads from app store while using face id for activation.

Power and Battery:

It has got built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with talk time (wireless) up to 20 hours and normal internet use of up to 12 hrs. Apple claims that the battery lasts up to 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X.

It has also got Wireless charging(works with Qi chargers) for which we can just place the phone on top of the wireless charger.

Operating System:

It has got iOS 12 which is the world’s most personal and secure mobile operating system, packed with powerful features that help you get the most out of every day.

Personal View:

In my personal view, I liked this phone very much. I have been using it for almost 2 weeks and I can see that it performs really well. I like the design, the facial-recognition technology and the most that I have used is the camera. I like it’s camera very much as it can capture details and clarity even in shadows and nights and low lights.

JBL T210 In-ear headphone | Best budget In-ear headphone?

If you are in search of in-ear headphones, then JBL T210 is one of the options available.

Introducing JBL T210 in-ear headphones, they’re lightweight, comfortable and compact. Under the metallic-finished housing, a pair of 8.7mm drivers punch out some serious bass, reproducing the powerful JBL Pure Bass sound.

In the box, it comes with a pair of T210 headphones, ear tips (small, medium and large), a pouch for keeping those headphones while travelling and storing and warranty and warning cards.

JBL, which is an American company that manufactures loudspeaker and associated electronics claims that they have engineered the precise, impressive sound found in big venues around the world and that these headphones reproduce that same JBL sound, punching out bass that’s both deep and powerful.

Similarly, it also has 1-button remote with microphone that helps control music playback with a convenient one-button remote and also answer calls. Moreover, it has a tangle-free flat cable which is durable and won’t tangle up in knots. Also, it has a beautiful metallic finished housing, which provides a very professional design.

In my experience, I personally liked this JBLT210 headphone. Given the budget, I like the bass it produces and the noise cancellation done by the ear tips. It provides 3 different sizes of ear tips out of box, hence it is very good for those who has big or small ear ear holes.

I especially favour its tangle-free flat cable because that’s what troubles me when I take my earphone out of my pocket or my bag and need to spend a minute untangling it.

Also, the microphone button provides a sensation of being pressed, so you know you have pressed it. However, I think it would have been very good if it had volume ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons.

Overall, I liked the headphone very much and would highly recommend if you are on budget and need a good earphone.
